    Eligibility:
    1. Nativity:
    A candidate must be either :
    (a) a citizen of India, or
    (b) a subject of Nepal, or
    (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
    (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
    (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
    Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

    2. Age Limit: As per Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate.

    18-27 years( He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1986 and not later than 01.01.1995)
    Statistical Investigator Gr.II
    Not exceeding 26 years (He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1987)
    Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI
    20-27 years( He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1986 and not later than 01.01.1993)

    3. Qualifications as on 1st January,2013:
    i) Compiler : Bachelor‟s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
    ii) Statistical Investigator Grade – II: Bachelor‟s Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects
    OR
    Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics( with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/two years/all three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects
    OR
    Bachelor‟s Degree with Economics ( with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor‟s Degree with Commerce (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects
    All other Posts: Bachelor‟s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. .
    Note: For posts of Assistants(CSS), Computer Proficiency has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification
    The Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.

    Exam Scheme: The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:
    • Tier -I - Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
    • Tier -II - Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
    • Tier -III - Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/Document Verification & Descriptive/on-line test of qualifying nature.
    Important: Candidates must carry at least one photo bearing ID Proof in original such as Driving Licence, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University/College, Income Tax Pan Card to the examination center, failing which THEY SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR THE EXAMINATION.

    Exam fee: Rs 100
    Note: Women candidates & SC/ST/PH/Ex service men are exempted from paying the exam  fee.

    Exam Fee Payment Mode:
    For Paper or Off-Line Applications: Candidates should pay the fee by means of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)" only available at all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and cancelled at the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Post Office in such a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the Application Form itself, taking care at the same time that the impression is clear and distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any subsequent stage

    For On-Line Applications: Candidates should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India Challan or on-line account with SBI. Challan form will be generated on-line.

    • Exam dates: the 14th April,2013 & 21st April,2013 and if necessary, on subsequent Saturdays/Sundays, in different batches
